One of the most successful fundraising organizations for ALS is Augie's Quest, founded by Augie Nieto, a fitness industry mogul behind Lifecycle, Life Fitness, and Octane Fitness. Augie was diagnosed with ALS in 2005.
Last Saturday, October 23rd, at a gala at Laguna's Ritz Carlton, Anne received the Courage Award by the Foundation. Anne and Rob's kids attended with their children. Anne's 7 siblings also attended. Her Kent brothers and sisters attended in spirit and with an ad in the program celebrating Anne's love of Weld and the Maine outdoors (below).
The gala featured a number of philanthropists and the affair raised over $1 million dollars for ALS research.
