Victoria's Rehearsal Dinner

I've been working with brother Rob on his post-wedding Dad Talk over the past week. His 12-minute speech is funny, kind, and generous, just like him. Victoria, her mom Anne, and Josh have planned the wedding and dinner for four different times at several different venues. Originally, the plan included 40 people in the wedding party (!) not to mention 250-300 guests. But that all changed.

Today, the wedding ceremony is at Our Lady Queen of Angels and the dinner in their home's backyard with 30-40 people due to C-19. The wedding could have been postponed to next year, but Victoria and Josh decided to celebrate this fall due to her mom's illness--they want her to be on her feet and enjoying every ounce of the celebration.

From what's been described, the wedding participants practiced yesterday at their church and then hopped onto boats to cross the Newport Harbor bay to a fancy restaurant. Looking at Victoria's picture, it was a beautiful evening in California yesterday. I wish I could have gone.
