Whitecap (again)

Panorama from 3/4 of the way up.

We hike Whitecap about 55 - 80 times a year. Why? The mountain is in our backyard, just a 10-minute drive away. There's water for the mountain dog and a forest canopy providing shade 85% of the time. The trail we hike takes 2 hours to complete (I now stay off the granite summit to protect Bailey from direct sun and his paws from the rock surface). The views... the Presidential Range, the Mahoosucs, and the River Valley. No ticks today, but the swarming deer flies made us feel welcome...
